FailSafe PCR Optimisation Technology

To obtain high-fidelity PCR results, troubleshooting your experiment’s conditions can help optimise workflow and achieve consistent results. Start with the FailSafe PCR PreMix Selection starter kit, which includes the FailSafe PCR Enzyme Mix (60 U) and all 12 of the FailSafe PCR 2X PreMixes (100 µL each). Some PreMixes contain a PCR Enhancer with Betaine to help ensure extremely high sensitivity and specificity. Additionally, the Enzyme Mix has been tested to have a fidelity that is at least three times higher than using Taq DNA polymerase. After adding your template, primers, and Enzyme Mix to each of the PreMixes, you can then determine which of the 12 PreMixes achieves the most accurate results based on your primer / template combination.

After determining optimal PCR conditions with the PreMix Selection starter kit you can proceed in one of two ways:

1. Continue with the FailSafe Enzyme Mix and any of the FailSafe PCR 2x PreMixes which are both sold as individual components

Or

2. Continue with the FailSafe PCR System which includes both the Enzyme Mix and the PCR 2x PreMixes at a bundled discount

The FailSafe PCR System is our second comprehensive kit that contains the FailSafe PCR Enzyme Mix, plus the convenience of being able to pick and choose any one, two, or eight of the FailSafe PCR 2x PreMixes depending on kit size.
