The 3-ATTO 655 mdCNH modification incorporates an ATTO™ 655 dye (ATTO-TEC GmbH) at the 3' terminus of an oligonucleotide. ATTO 655 exhibits exceptionally high ozone stability, high thermal and photo-stability. With good water solubility, strong absorption and high fluorescence quantum yield, ATTO 655 can be used in a wide array of applications, including single molecule detection, high-resolution microscopy, flow cytometry (FACS), and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). This 3' ATTO 655 modification is conjugated to a modified cytidine which may participate in hybridization. ATTO 655 is an alternative for Alexa Fluor® 660; particularly where enhanced photostability is desired. ATTO 655 fluoresces in the red region of the visible spectrum and its fluorescence can be effectively quenched by BHQ®-3 dye.
