The 3-ATTO 465 mdCNH modification incorporates an ATTO™ 465 dye (ATTO-TEC GmbH) at the 3' terminus of an oligonucleotide. ATTO 465 exhibits a uniquely large Stokes-shift of 55 nm, high thermal and photo-stability. With strong absorption and high fluorescence quantum yield, ATTO 465 can be used in a wide array of applications, including dual-labeled fluorogenic probes for real-time PCR. This 3' ATTO 465 modification is conjugated to a modified cytidine which may participate in hybridization. ATTO 465 is an excellent replacement for LC® 480; particularly where enhanced photostability is desired. ATTO 465 fluoresces in the green region of the visible spectrum and its fluorescence can be effectively quenched by BHQ®-1 dye.
