The 3-ATTO 425 mdCNH modification incorporates an ATTO™ 425 dye (ATTO-TEC GmbH) at the 3' terminus of an oligonucleotide. With a large Stokes-shift, strong absorption and high fluorescence quantum yield, ATTO 425 can be used in a wide array of applications, including dual-labeled fluorogenic probes for real-time PCR. This 3' ATTO 425 modification is conjugated to a modified cytidine which may participate in hybridization. ATTO 425 is a coumarin dye and can be used as a substitute for Alexa Fluor® 430; particularly where enhanced photostability is desired. Fluorescing in the blue region of the visible spectrum, ATTO 425 can be effectively quenched by BHQ®-0 dye.
