The 3-ATTO 647N mdCNH modification incorporates an ATTO™ 647N dye (ATTO-TEC GmbH) at the 3' terminus of an oligonucleotide. ATTO 647N modifications exhibit high thermo, pH, and photo-stability. With strong absorption and high fluorescence quantum yield, ATTO 647N can be used in a wide array of applications, including single molecule detection, high-resolution microscopy, and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). This 3' ATTO 647N modification is conjugated to a modified cytidine which may participate in hybridization. ATTO 647N is a cationic dye and can be used as a substitute for Alexa Fluor® 647, Cy5™, and Quasar® 670; particularly where enhanced photostability is desired. Fluorescing in the red region of the visible spectrum, ATTO 647N can be effectively quenched by BHQ®-2 dye.
