The 3-ATTO 633 mdCNH modification incorporates an ATTO™ 633 dye (ATTO-TEC GmbH) at the 3' terminus of an oligonucleotide. ATTO 633 modifications exhibit high thermo, pH, and photo-stability. With strong absorption and high fluorescence quantum yield, ATTO 633 can be used in a wide array of applications, including but not limited to single molecule detection, high-resolution microscopy, flow cytometry (FACS), and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). This 3' ATTO 633 modification is conjugated to a modified cytidine which may participate in hybridization. ATTO 633 is a cationic dye and can be used as a substitute for LIZ®; particularly where enhanced photostability is desired. Fluorescing in the red region of the visible spectrum, ATTO 633 can be effectively quenched by BHQ®-3 dye.
