Amidites

Chemically synthesised DNA in the form of probes, primers and other oligonucleotides are used in a variety of applications such as PCR, genome sequencing, SNP genotyping and gene synthesis.

To enable the synthesis of sophisticated probes for q-PCR, LGC Biosearch Technologies offers a broad range of, fluorophore reporter and non-fluorescing quencher phosphoramidites.

Our proprietary Black Hole Quencher™(BHQ™) dye phosphoramidites are designed to permit efficient quenching of all fluorophores making it possible to utilise reporter dyes that emit anywhere across the visible spectrum from 480 nm into the near IR.

Our CAL Fluor™ and Quasar™ dye phosphoramidites are fluorophores with emission spectra that span the visible and near infrared spectrum, making them ideal for multiplexed real time qPCR assays.

Biosearch Technologies also offers modifications such as Biotin, Amine, Thiol, Spacers as well as other popular fluorescent dye phosphoramidites. These amidites can be used for direct incorporation into the modified oligonucleotide.
